A journey through intertwined forms, masterfully shaped metal wires, and vibrant surfaces that reveal the depths of the human soul. From May 3 to August 17, the Fiermonte Museum in Lecce hosts "What about LOVE?", an exhibition dedicated to the emotional and sculptural universe of Rolf Frischherz, curated by Marta Siciliano, in collaboration with Jasmin Glaab, art manager for Studio Frischherz.
A sensory and conceptual journey, the exhibition explores the relationship between the individual, transformation, and human connections through 16 powerful sculptures, embodying the very essence of emotions. Frischherz’s works speak of connection and change, shaping matter to make the invisible visible.
"Art is not just form, but tangible emotion: metal wire and resin give voice to what often remains unspoken." – says Frischherz, encapsulating the core of his artistic research. The Swiss artist focuses on people, their potential for growth, and the dynamics of personal transformation within relationships. Drawing from his extensive experience as an executive coach, Frischherz translates the highs and lows of international corporate leaders into sculptural narratives—expressing proximity and distance, meteoric careers, and the abyss of the human soul. His sculptures, crafted from metal wire, fiberglass, and epoxy resin, are carefully polished and painted, resulting in durable yet lightweight pieces, resistant to the elements.
"What about LOVE?" is more than an exhibition; it is an invitation to reflect on the power of relationships and the enduring nature of emotions over time.
